GUM ARABIC PROCESSING AND EXPORT
PRODUCTION PROCESS
Take 100kg of grade 2 gum Arabic remove any black one, sticks or stone in it, into 20, pack it in 5kg each. Then pour in 100 litres of water. Boil the water to the highest level (Boiling point of 100oc).
Add 5kg of the gum Arabic and continue stearing it for 30-60 minutes and add anther 5kg and stear for another 30-60 minutes.
Continue the production process adding 5kg every 30-60 minutes until all the Gum Arabic is added.
Do not stop stearing until all you melt all the Gum-Arabic. After finishing the melting process, allow the product to cool.
Filter the product with clothe if you are operating a manual production or use a filter machine if you are for mechanize production. Pour the filtrate in a plastic drum then allow it to stay in the drum for 24 hours (1 day). Refiller it again after 24 hours, make sure that as you are filtring the second time allow 20 litres as waste, because you will observed that the down part of the gum is filled with dirt. This dirty part should not be added to the good once.
Preservation Process
You put 180 litres of well filtered gum into the mixer or plastic drum, and add dryer to it, also add preservatives. You can add edible preservative or non-edible preservative depending on the product that the gum will be used on.
Production of Powdered Gum
After producing your gum as discuss above, filter the gum, add preservatives and also add P.O.P. (Plaster of Paris) in the ratio of about 25kg to 180kg liters of Gum. Mix it properly and youthen dry the product. After drying you now grind the product to powder and add 25kg of Titanium dioxide, grind the whole product together and then pack it into 10kg.
Production of Gum for Office Usage
