Many years back, West African region had never experience any sort of advancement in accordance with foreign counterpart due to our ignorance on the importance and usefulness of cassava to the rest of the World. We only believed vividly that production of Agricultural raw materials is only for us Africa especially we Nigeria that believed that Agricultural products are just for substance and commercial purposes within our country.

One of the things that can be derive from cassava is Fufu that is very common to eat in African which has different like Akpu, furoo, Alubo, Abacha e.t.c. an exporting activities on cassava powder production should be critically pay thorough attention to because cassava is a highly perishable product when it is hydrolyzed, but when dehydrate, dried and powder its bulkiness is reduced.
Also, findings made us to know that about 25% of products were derived from cassava.
There are a lot of processing stages that can be considered before cassava powder can be obtained from cassava tuber. These processing are peeling of the tuber, washing of the tuber, retting to delignify for about 5 days, removing of fiber and lignin, sieving, pressing with big stone or device, drying and milling in order to get the cassava powder.
The aforementioned processing stages can never be applied without getting peeling machine sharp knife, grating machine, basin for retting, vacuum dryer, hammer mill and necessary equipments needed for the packaging.
In order to have efficient and effective export of cassava powder. There should be enough raw material (Cassava) and consideration on the colour of the product (Cassava Powder) which relative to the duration of fermentation, the method of processing, and the water used during the fermentation.
On aspect of effective and efficient export supplies to other countries, it was observed that importers have wide range of choice and are ready to transact business with an individual or company who can meet their demand by exporting quality cassava powder as required.
During our findings, we observed that the target market is the exporting market where cassava powder is sold in bulk to supermarket chains in 1kg, 2kg and 5kg. This cassava powder exporting project will be profitable for Nigerians who are travelers to transact business aboard or have relations abroad.
