A representative of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has said the Council was ready to build a well-equipped export processing village with the recommended standard of Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Cross River State, Mr. Jackson Arnold has said. Speaking during a one-day seminar to sensitize intending exporters on export promotions of locally produced commodities, Mr. Jackson Arnold, who represented NEPC executive director said exporters in the state would have to choose where exactly the processing centre would be located. He explained further that their visit to the Cross River was to create awareness on what businessmen and marketers in the State would gain from product exportation. According to Mr. Arnold, “Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Zonal office collaborates with other agencies that are experts in export business to bring the best to exporters of economic products such as palm produce, smoked fish and other commodities”. In her contribution, Mrs. Ekanem Roselyn, a member of the team, assured intending exporters of another meeting to enable them add or subtract what they have gathered. Responding on behalf of the participants, Chief Iniobong Jackson, of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) urged participants to be more honest in the implementation of their programme, adding that the material aspect of the plan is what matters to the people most.
