The Minister of State for Finance, Alhaji Yerima Ngama has commended the Nigerian Export Promotion Council for its outstanding performance at the just concluded Trade and Investment Exhibition in Beijing, China.
Receiving the award of the Best Exhibitor on behalf of the Council, Alhaji Yerima said the quality of product exhibited during the event strengthened trade relations between Chinese Businessmen and their Nigerian counterparts.
In a remark, the leader of Nigerian Export promotion Council delegation at the exhibition, Mr. Olajide Ibrahim said the award was a clear indication of the agency's commitment towards promoting trade relations across the globe.
He dedicated the award to Nigerian non-oil exporters that would benefit from the Export Development Programme aimed at promoting value-added exports.
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu and one time President of the African- Export -Import Bank, Mr. Christopher Edordu were among the dignitaries at the exhibition.
