Earn A Minimum Of N0.5million Monthly Farming Moringa In Nigeria
A new Moringa Factory – Eden Moringa factory has been setup in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital to produce Moringa tea, Moringa oil, Moringa cake, and Moringa-based vegetable oil.
The opening of this factory has opened great opportunities for Moringa farmers in Nigeria, both old and new farmers with an assurance of earning not less than five hundred thousand (500, 000) Naira monthly.
Moringa Farmers Association of Nigeria stated that more than two million Moringa farmers are needed to service the factory.
This information was made available during a press conference held by the National Coordinator of the Moringa Farmers Association of Nigeria, Dr. Shuaibu Adamu in Abuja, Nigeria.
He said “We need about two million farmers to feed our Moringa Factory to get steady supplies. About 600 youths would be provided direct employment at the factory.
“Farmers will be provided seeds and herbicides at a little token from which they can plant the tree. After four to six months the leaves will come out, the farmer harvests, dries them under room temperature, and then brings the leaves to us at the factory, and then they are paid their money.”
The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Michael Ashimashiga said that the factory is ready to accommodate as many workers as possible pending the availability of dried Moringa leaves.
The Managing Director disclosed that the current demand for their product outweighs supply as they have demand from Saudi Arabia, Canada, and several other European countries.
He also assured that their collaboration with the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has made it easier for them to ensure that their goods are not rejected in the international market.
For your Moringa leaves to be accepted, you must register with the Association with a token of N15, 000 (fifteen thousand naira) payable through any branch of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
After registering, the farmer will be linked to the state coordinator who will provide the farmer with the needed seeds, fertilizer, and herbicides for cultivation.
Good news for Nigerian youths and farmers. But let us go back a little to 2020, when the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) announced that it has concluded plans to commence a N9 billion Moringa Oleifera farming plantation project across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
The information was disclosed by Michael Ashimashiga, he said that though MAN has only 5, 000 members that it intends to employ 10 million youths across the country for the cultivation of the plant.
Apart from selling your Moringa leaves to the Moringa Farmers Association, there are many other opportunities in Nigeria for Moringa farmers. Don’t forget that when you plant Moringa that at maturity you will not only harvest the leaves but also harvest the seeds.
Both leaves and seeds of Moringa plant are in high demand. This is really a business anybody can venture into because it is very lucrative.
Did you know that many foreigners like, Chinese, Indians, South Koreans, Vietnamese are all over Lagos and other big cities in Nigeria looking for Moringa seeds?
For a very long time, I have been aware that many Moringa buyers even pay the farmers in advance for the products before planting.
During the rainy season, farmers usually harvest this product a minimum of three times a season. No doubt, many Moringa farmers are doing well financially as the demand for their produce is far higher than the supply.
It is therefore important for youths and other categories of farmers to key into this business of farming Moringa in the country.
The crop is used by pharmaceutical companies, perfumery and even traditional medical practitioners across the globe.
Moringa is one of the most useful and sought after plants in the world.
